Playing Stat Line in the UFC
A UFC box score is one fighter's numbers from one bout -- significant strikes landed and attempted, total strikes, takedowns, knockdowns, submission attempts and control time -- and the header tells you only the weight class and the year, because a fight has no home team or week number to show. Each guess is compared on career average per fight, so think in styles rather than single nights: a wrestler carries takedowns and control time into every fight, a volume striker carries a high significant-strike count, and a knockdown column that reads above zero on average is rarer than it sounds.
