Playing Grid in the UFC
UFC Grid has no teams to cross, so its axes are the things a fighter's record actually carries: the weight class they fought at, the country they represent, the gym they fight out of, and the decade they competed in. Most fighters spend a whole career in one division, which is why the board crosses weight class against country or gym rather than against another weight class -- the question is nearly always "who from this place fought at this weight". Cells pairing a smaller division with a specific country are usually the tightest on the board, so settle those before spending a guess on a broad one.
