About Statzle
Statzle is a free daily sports puzzle site. Every day it generates a new puzzle for each of 7 leagues — NFL, NBA, WNBA, MLB, NHL, Premier League, MLS — across 8 different modes. You don't need an account to play; signing in is only for keeping a streak and showing up on the leaderboard.
Real stats, not trivia
The thing that makes Statzle different from a hand-written trivia site is that nothing here is written by a person guessing at facts. Every puzzle is generated from real statistical records — career team histories, box scores, and player stat lines pulled from public sports data sources (see the Privacy Policy for the exact sources per league). A script builds each day's puzzle straight from that data, so the difficulty and the content are both grounded in what actually happened, not in what sounded like a good trivia question.
The modes
Eight different ways to guess: Career Path (a mystery player revealed through their team history), Stat Line (a real box score, guess who put up those numbers), Higher/Lower, Grid (name a player who satisfies a row and a column at once), Connections, Odd One Out, Teammates, and Two Truths and a Lie. Not every league supports every mode — Premier League and MLS, for example, don't have the per-game data needed for Stat Line or Grid, so they stick to the modes their data actually supports rather than faking it. Full rules for each mode are on the How to Play page.
Every day is archived
Missed a day, or want to try an older puzzle? Every mode keeps a permanent archive of past puzzles — nothing disappears after 24 hours.
Who builds this
Statzle is independently built and run by one person, not a company. If something's wrong with a puzzle, or you just want to say hello, see the Contact page.
