Playing Higher/Lower in the NBA
NBA careers can run fifteen-plus years for durable stars, so career totals reward both a long tenure and a heavy role across that tenure -- volume shooters and high-minute players accumulate faster than efficient role players even if the role player's per-game numbers look better. When two players feel close, think about who carried a bigger offensive workload over more seasons, not just who was the better player at their peak.
