Playing Connections in the MLS
MLS Connections groups often use allocation mechanisms (Designated Player status, SuperDraft class) or a shared stint at a club abroad as categories -- these are structural, league-specific concepts rather than pure team-and-era groupings, so if four names don't share an obvious team, consider whether they share a roster-building mechanism instead.
