Playing Connections in the NHL
NHL Connections groups often use trades, draft classes, or a shared award as the hidden category, and because international background varies so much across the league, "same draft class" can be a stronger signal here than "same team," since draft classes are a fixed, shared reference point regardless of where a player's career started.
