How to Play
Stat Line
Not available for Premier League or MLS -- there's no per-game box score data source for soccer in Statzle.
A real box score from one game is shown. Guess players whose career production plausibly matches -- feedback compares career averages, not that single game's numbers.
Rules
- Guesses are scored by comparing your guess's career average to the mystery player's, not by the box score on screen.
- Green means a guess's career average is within a normal range of the answer's; red means it's well outside that range.
- ▲ means the mystery player's career average is higher than your guess's; ▼ means lower.
- Signature Game uses a notable performance; Any Game (hard) pulls from any game in the player's career, including quieter ones.
Tips
- Don't anchor on the shown box score's raw numbers -- a monster game from a modest career player will still score your guesses against their normal career average.
- Use the ▲/▼ direction as a search tool: it tells you which way to move your next guess, not just whether you were close.
- Any Game mode is genuinely harder because the box score itself is a weaker signal -- lean more on team/position instead.
Common Mistakes
- Treating a huge outlier stat line as proof the answer must be a superstar -- the comparison is against their whole career, not this one game.
- Ignoring the ▲/▼ arrows and re-guessing similar players instead of moving in the indicated direction.
