How to Play
Connections
16 real players are shown. Sort them into 4 hidden groups of 4 that each share something -- a team, a decade, a career stat threshold -- before you run out of mistakes.
Rules
- Select 4 players and submit: a correct group locks in and reveals its category; a wrong group costs a mistake.
- 4 mistakes ends the puzzle for the day.
- A wrong guess that's "one away" (3 of the 4 belong to the same real group) is flagged, so you know to swap just one player.
Tips
- Use "one away" feedback literally -- swap exactly one player rather than re-guessing a whole new set of 4.
- The most visually obvious shared trait (same position, same era) is often a decoy -- if a grouping feels too easy, double-check it against a less obvious category first.
- Start with whichever group you're most certain about to shrink the remaining pool before tackling the harder ones.
Common Mistakes
- Grouping players by the first shared trait you notice instead of confirming it's the actual category -- categories are deliberately designed so an obvious-looking group can be wrong.
- Re-guessing four entirely new players after a "one away" instead of changing just one.
- Spending mistakes on a guess you're unsure about instead of locking in your most confident group first.
